SCBWI (Society of Children Book Writers and Illustrators) New Jersey chapter logo design winner Sarah Hokanson, the Associate Art Director at RandomHouse chose the winning logo for SCBWI (Society of Children Book Writers and Illustrators) New Jersey chapter This spring, SCBWI NJ held a logo contest. Over 60 people entered, the assignment was to design a new logo that would represent and be unique to New Jersey. I chose to do a Diner theme as the logo. New Jersey is the World Capital of diners, I thought this idea was appropriate. Sarah Hokanson the Associate Art Director at RandomHouse was the judge. She had this to say about the logo "In the winning logo I chose, the lettering and illustration worked really well together. It was also very inventive while still being simple and strong."
